Job Details

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in real estate law, with a particular emphasis on land use and zoning matters. Litigation background a plus. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects for a diverse clientele, including developers, landowners, and businesses.

Responsibilities:

– Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, and development projects.

– Handle complex land use and zoning matters, including subdivisions, rezoning applications, variances, conditional use permits, and appeals.

– Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies.

– Draft and negotiate a variety of real estate contracts, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.

– Represent clients in administrative hearings, zoning board meetings, and litigation as needed.

– Stay current on relevant real estate, land use, and zoning laws and regulations.

– Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide seamless client service.

Qualifications:

– Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the NY bar.

– 4+ years of experience practicing real estate law with a focus on land use and zoning.

– Demonstrated expertise in handling complex real estate transactions and land use matters.

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
