Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Senior Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. As a Senior Superintendent with a focus on Healthcare Construction, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the construction of hospitals and other healthcare facilities. This is a permanent position that offers excellent growth opportunities and a chance to make a significant impact in the healthcare construction sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage all aspects of healthcare construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.
  2. Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  3. Oversee the selection and coordination of subcontractors, ensuring their work is performed efficiently and in compliance with project requirements.
  4. Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety on the construction site.
  5. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is progressing as planned and to identify and address any issues or delays.
  6. Provide guidance and support to the project team, including superintendents, foremen, and laborers, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to successfully complete their tasks.
  7. Manage and resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process, working collaboratively with all parties involved to find effective solutions.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, change orders, and punch lists.
  9. Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the construction process and beyond.
  10. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to healthcare construction, and incorporate them into project planning and execution.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a Senior Superintendent, with a focus on healthcare construction and hospital projects.
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing and completing complex construction projects on time and within budget.
  3. Strong knowledge of healthcare construction processes, including familiarity with medical equipment installation, infection control measures, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  5. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and other project documents.
  6. In-depth understanding of construction safety protocols and regulations, and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
  7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  9. Proficient in using construction management software and other relevant tools.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
