The ideal candidate will have both debtor and creditor side experience, with additional commercial litigation or commercial finance experience being a plus. The position requires strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.Duties:Represent debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases, restructuring matters, and related litigation.Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and other court filings.Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various bankruptcy and restructuring issues.Participate in court hearings, depositions, and negotiations.Assist with the structuring and implementation of reorganization plans.Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to develop case strategies.Manage multiple projects and ensure timely and accurate completion of all assignments.Maintain a thorough understanding of bankruptcy laws and stay updated on legal precedents and developments.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar.2-3 years of experience in a large or mid-size law firm, focusing on bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditor's rights.Experience representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases.Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.Accurate and strong attention to detail.High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Superior verbal and interpersonal skills.Commercial litigation and/or commercial finance experience is a plus.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Illinois State Bar.Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and bankruptcy law software.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Effective communication and negotiation skills.
