Duties:

Support Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) and port protection devices definition, validation, and competitive analysis.

Supervise and conduct all testing required for new product introduction creating new test methodologies and support material including datasheets, evaluation kits, simulation models, and other.

Write datasheets and release notes by coordinating between multiple teams to collate results with Integrated Circuit (IC) design, applications and test engineer.

Provide technical support to key customers and field engineers.

Create demos that clearly demonstrate solutions and differentiating features with respect to the competitor's offerings.

Develop system reference design boards, application notes, and other technical marketing collateral.

Partial telecommute benefit available (2 days per week work from home permitted).

Requirements:

Must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field (or foreign education equivalent) and 24 months of experience as an Application Engineer or related role supporting new product development and power management of integrated circuits.

Alternatively, may have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field (or foreign education equivalent) and 48 months of experience as an Application Engineer or related role supporting new product development and power management of integrated circuits.

Must also possess the following:

Demonstrated Experience (“DE”) performing Schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for power and protection devices using tools such as Altium software, SIMPLIS, MATLAB/SIMULINK, and LTSPICE for circuit simulation.

DE performing post silicon validation and system evaluation of power and protection devices by leveraging tools such as Labview and Python for data collection, and C/C++ programming language for building drivers and firmware support.

DE evaluating benefits of silicon power management IC and protection products using tools such as Excel, MSword, power point, Visio, and EVKIT designing boards.

DE building hardware and software collateral to test PMIC and port protection products using common lab tools such as Power supplies, Multi-meters, power analysis, spectrum analyzers, and Digital/Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes, specifically Tektronix MSO5000 or equivalent.
