DSHS BHA Psychology SupervisorWe are seeking a Psychology Supervisor for our

Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health (OHBH) , an inpatient facility for patients with serious mental illnesses under civil commitment located in Tukwila, WA, a short drive from the City of Seattle. You will set professional standards, oversee psychological services, and supervise Psychologists and Psychology Associates. You will formulate department policies, supervise clinical services, ensure adherence to DSHS/BHA/OHBH policies, and maintain ethics per American Psychological Association guidelines.You will supervise approximately 10 doctoral or master’s level clinicians working with a vulnerable patient population. Responsibilities include providing regular clinical supervision and offering high-level consultations for challenging clients, including those who are violent or require seclusion and restraint, and ensuring the creation by your staff of high-quality, patient-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.You will manage the process connected with the civil commitment of clients detained under RCW 71.05. This includes assigning court work and supervising the preparation and filing of civil commitment petitions, conditional releases, and less restrictive orders for patients discharging into the community.In this role, you will oversee the work of all psychology staff and manage billing practices for licensed psychologists. You must ensure all billing requirements are met for OHBH to receive reimbursement. This involves intensive, ongoing supervision of documentation and service provision.Some of what you will doPersonnel Management : Provide supervision and performance evaluation of psychology staff. Identify, assess, hire, and orient new hires. Deploy psychology staff for best resource use. Provide overall leadership and clinical support to the program.Program Management : Establish psychology practice improvement initiatives, develop action plans, and track progress and completion. Oversee the unit psychology quality assurance program. Participate in case reviews with senior clinical staff for patients with challenging/emergent issues. Review and revise policies as required. Chair assigned meetings and identify agenda items.Interdisciplinary Leadership : Lead management team initiatives as assigned. Participate on facility-wide committees and workgroups as assigned.Who should apply?Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA, CPA or regionally accredited college or university AND an internship from an APA or APPIC accredited program.Licensure to practice in Washington as an independent Psychologist or licensed to practice in another state with the ability to obtain Washington licensure within six months from date of hire.Minimum three years of experience providing evidence-based treatment to psychiatric residents within a residential or psychiatric hospital setting.Minimum two years of managerial experience providing clinical supervision to professional staff (This can be concurrent with the 3-year experience requirement).Leadership and management skills and abilities including good clinical judgment, independent problem solving, decision making, strategic planning ability, conflict resolution, time management, excellent oral and written communication, excellent relationship skills, ability to lead others through modeling and provision of accurate and constructive feedback.Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:Management experience – intermediate level or higher.Five years of experience providing evidence-based treatment to psychiatric residents within a residential or psychiatric hospital setting.Experience with negotiating/managing performance-based contracts with other agencies and professionals.Working knowledge of budgeting and contract management principles and practices.To be considered for this opportunity please include the following:Current chronological resume or curriculum vitaeCover letter explaining why you are interested in the job, and the skills and experience that make you the best person for the jobThree professional references with current contact information, including at least two references from past or present supervisorsQuestions?
