Job Description:

ESG reporting is evolving from a predominantly voluntary undertaking to a regulated requirement for companies globally. As HPE prepares for regulated ESG reporting, the Living Progress team is looking for someone to ensure the integrity of the company’s disclosures.

The Manager, ESG Governance and Reporting will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's ESG efforts and play a key role in supporting HPE’s ability to meet the expectations of regulators, customers, investors, and the industry. You will work closely with the Financial Reporting, Controllership, and Internal Audit organizations.

You will have strong data governance experience and a passion for team leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish data governance and controls to ensure the integrity of HPE’s ESG disclosures.

Build capabilities in terms of people, processes, internal controls, and systems to meet all mandatory ESG reporting requirements globally.

Own the relationship between HPE’s ESG auditor and manage the annual audit.

Collaborate with a team of ESG specialists responsible for coordinating mandatory ESG-related reporting and managing ESG data, controls, and disclosures across HPE’s mandatory and voluntary reports.

Develop a process to evaluate and implement new reporting requirements.

Continuously seek and identify opportunities for improvement in data automation, QA/QC, auditability.

Train key employee groups on reporting processes, controls, and the need/value of reporting.

Experience & Skills Required:

Relevant degree plus at least seven years of experience in data governance, regulated reporting, audit, controllership, or related area.

CPA with ESG reporting experience preferred.

Strong project management experience.

Competence with prioritization and execution in complex and ambiguous situations.

Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders and leaders about ESG data management objectives and priorities.

Familiarity with non-financial reporting standards including CSRD, TCFD, GRI, SDGs preferred.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. USD Annual Salary: $98,000.00 - $225,500.00.
