Our Sustainability and Renewable Energy Associate Directors provide wide-ranging support for client engagements. They work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing project teams and having responsibility for client communications, project schedules, divisions of labor, architecting analyses, and overseeing team dynamics. They are responsible for developing teams and individuals through coaching and feedback, promoting a culture of excellence.

THIS POSITION SPECIFICALLY SEEKS AN EXPERT IN RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ASSESSING AND PROCURING POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENTS. CANDIDATES MUST ALSO HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE CREATING RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY BUYING STRATEGIES, WITH A BACKGROUND IN ONSITE GENERATION, RETAIL ENERGY SUPPLY, GREEN TARIFF PROGRAMS, AND ENERGY ATTRIBUTE CERTIFICATES.

Key responsibilities include:

Tailoring decarbonization and sustainability offerings to specific clientsProviding content expertise and relevant technical insights on a daily basisLeading project teams on engagements in partnership with DirectorsDelivering projects (we are looking for team players who roll up their sleeves and work with teams, not people who just want to 'direct')Developing an internal network to pull in resources from across our global teamBuilding and maintaining relationships with clientsPublishing blogs and whitepapersStaying up to date on topics relevant to clientsBeing active in internal initiatives that contribute to the team and its cultureBeing a role model for junior consultants

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical and subject matter capability and continue to gain credentials that are recognized and valued at our company and within the industry.

What You Will Need:University Degree and minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in the energy and sustainability space - in particular, experience with renewable electricity procurement for large, geographically diversified organizationsEffective communication through strong presentation development and concise storytellingAction-oriented approaches to identifying climate adaptations and mitigationsFinancial risk assessment and modeling capabilitiesAbility to lead teams to create executive-level presentations with insight and impactFluency in GHG and climate-risk topicsFluency in EnglishAgility in presentation storyboarding and developmentStrong communication skills within the project team and at the board levelClarity in business writingDemonstrated success working within high-performing teamsNo sponsorship available for this roleMust currently reside in the United StatesMust be a US CitizenAbility to travel
