JOBThis position provides vision and leadership to increase student engagement and belonging and create an inclusive and welcoming campus for a body of diverse students; champions students beyond the classroom by working with faculty and staff to co-create student development outcomes; provides oversight and coordination for student engagement programs; and oversees Esports and the exploration and implementation of athletics. This position is required to periodically work evenings and weekends, assist with student intake during peak periods and coordinate commencement ceremonies.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIESThe following list is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position:Leads campus-wide student recruitment and engagement initiatives that promote student participation, leading to student persistence, sense of inclusion and belonging, and student success completion outcomes in a manner that all students feel valued, supported, and engaged in their college experience.Supervises standard and student employees in the daily operations of the Student Engagement office by providing direction, leading campus committees and councils, ensuring compliance with student privacy rights (e.g. FERPA) and evaluating staff.Administers and develops an annual budget to allocate resources to support student programs and initiatives.Leads the development and implementation of programs and initiatives related to student activities, community engagement, recreational sports, Esports and future athletics programming.Fosters intentional collaborations with student organizations, community and campus partners.Manages the campus food pantry and partners with local food banks and community resources to coordinate efforts to address food insecurity among students.Serves as a community liaison to build partnerships and relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to support student engagement efforts.Completes, tracks and assesses data collection and analysis to assess student engagement and identify areas of programming and continuous improvement.Leads program efforts for the campus on voter registration initiatives that support the democratic process.Coordinates the annual commencement and student recognition events.Manages and contributes to the annual and five-year comprehensive department assessment process as per the college assessment plan.Performs other duties as assigned.
