We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a wide range of legal matters. The successful candidate will primarily focus on municipal law, public finance, tax-exempt finance, bond counsel, issuer's counsel, and related areas. This role requires a strong ability to conduct comprehensive legal research, prepare legal documents, provide legal advice, and assist in legal compliance. The candidate must also have an exceptional ability to handle litigation matters.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of municipal law matters.
  • Serve as bond counsel, issuer's counsel, and provide expertise in public finance and tax-exempt finance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide comprehensive legal analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Provide legal assistance to various departments and ensure legal compliance across the organization.
  • Represent the organization in litigation matters, if necessary.
  • Stay updated with the latest laws, regulations, and trends in the legal industry and ensure the organization's legal policies are updated accordingly.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior attorneys and other legal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Municipal Law Attorney, Bond Counsel, Issuer's Counsel, or a similar role.
  • Prior experience in Public Finance, Tax-Exempt Finance, and Municipal Law is required.
  • Expertise in Tax Credits, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Legal Documents, Legal Advice, Legal Assistance, and Legal Compliance.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience.
  • Master of Laws (LLM) degree will be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the State Bar.
