We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of our company, ensuring our financial strategies are aligned with our business goals. This role offers an outstanding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about financial management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements in accordance with GAAP and JSOX compliance regulations.
  3. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  4. Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and recommendations to influence strategic planning and decision-making.
  5. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances to the executive management team.
  6. Develop and implement cost accounting practices and procedures to help determine product costs, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  7. Conduct regular financial audits, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  8. Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  10. Work closely with operational management, providing financial insights and participating in corporate policy development.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong understanding of GAAP, JSOX, compliance, and regulations.
  4. Proficient in financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  5. Solid experience in cost accounting and financial auditing.
  6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  7. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
  8. An analytical mind with a strategic ability, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  9. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  10. Strong communication and leadership skills, with an ability to manage a team effectively.
  11. Ability to strategize and solve problems, with a strong focus on process improvement and operations management.
