We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to join our thriving manufacturing unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex automation and control systems. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in preventive and predictive maintenance, robotics, Allen Bradley, and RSLogix5000. Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  2. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic systems and automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  3. Utilize Allen Bradley and RSLogix5000 for programming and troubleshooting PLC systems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation including system designs, specifications, and operation manuals.
  6. Train and guide technical staff on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
  7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation technology and integrate them into operations where beneficial.
  8. Ensure all automation and control systems comply with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proficient with Allen Bradley and RSLogix5000 for PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  4. Extensive experience in preventive and predictive maintenance of robotic systems and automated equipment.
  5. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation.
  6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  10. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
