We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Superintendent with a background in Ground Up, Commercial, Interior, and Light-Industrial Construction. This role is integral to our operations and requires a proactive, hands-on professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. If you have a passion for construction, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for effective leadership, we want to hear from you. With over 5+ years of experience under your belt, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, timelines, and safety codes.

Responsibilities:

The Permanent Superintendent will be responsible for the following:

  1. Managing all site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, drawings, and specifications.
  2. Coordinating and supervising all construction activities, directing on-site personnel, and dealing with any issues that may arise.
  3. Ensuring project timelines are met, identifying and addressing any potential delays.
  4. Maintaining strict adherence to safety procedures, fostering a safe work environment.
  5. Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality.
  6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, and other construction specialists.
  7. Resolving any problems, discrepancies, or conflicts that arise during construction.
  8. Maintaining excellent communication with the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
  9. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Superintendent position must possess the following:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, specifically in Ground Up, Commercial, Interior, and Light-Industrial Construction.
  2. Proficient knowledge of building processes, construction methodologies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  3. Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with an ability to motivate, guide, and direct a team to achieve project goals.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  8. Proficiency in using construction management software and technology.
  9. A relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  10. Certification or training in health and safety management is a plus.
  11. The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  12. A valid driver’s license may be required for travel to and from construction sites.
