We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. This role is an exceptional opportunity to dive deep into the financial operations of our fast-paced, rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of accounting functions, including GL reconciliations, month-end close, accruals and prepaids, assisting with budget preparation, bank reconciliation, and accounts payable reconciliation. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and a proven track record of excellence in their field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  2. Handle month-end close procedures effectively and in a timely manner.
  3. Prepare, review, and analyze accruals and prepaids to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  4. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  5. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to confirm all transactions are accurately reflected.
  6. Oversee accounts payable reconciliation and ensure all payments are made in accordance with company policies.
  7. Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  8. Participate in financial audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  9. Continuously improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field.
  3. Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
  4. Proficient in month-end close procedures, accruals, and prepaids.
  5. Experience assisting with budget preparation and financial reporting.
  6. Strong understanding of bank and accounts payable reconciliation.
  7. Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and accounting software.
  10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
  11. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
