An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Permanent Medical Biller to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you will manage and oversee all aspects of medical billing. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid. Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Medical Biller, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Accurately submitting claims to insurance companies on a timely basis.
  2. Reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims.
  3. Verifying patients' insurance coverage and handling collections and unpaid accounts.
  4. Answering patients' billing questions and handling complaints.
  5. Performing billing and reimbursement procedures for all types of insurance.
  6. Managing the day-to-day operations of the billing process, including data entry, payment posting, and follow-up on denied claims.
  7. Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all federal and state laws regarding medical information.
  8. Assisting with audits and data collection for accurate reporting.
  9. Updating billing software with rate changes and new billing codes.
  10. Providing training and support to the billing team as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Biller or a similar role in the medical industry.
  2. Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  3. Knowledge of medical billing regulations, medical terminology, and insurance practices.
  4. Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
  5. Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including coding, reimbursement, insurance, and collections.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and insurance companies.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data and billing information.
  8. Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment.
  9. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) would be an advantage.
  10. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
