Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in immigration law, be licensed to practice in North Carolina, and be fluent in Spanish to effectively communicate with our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on a wide range of immigration matters, including but not limited to family-based petitions, employment-based visas, asylum, and deportation defense.
  • Draft, review, and file immigration petitions, applications, and appeals.
  • Conduct client consultations, gather and analyze case-related information, and develop legal strategies.
  • Represent clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration Court, and other relevant agencies.
  • Stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations and provide updates and recommendations to clients and the firm.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive and effective legal representation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing immigration law, with a demonstrated track record of handling complex immigration cases.
  • Fluency in Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with both family-based and employment-based immigration cases.
  • Familiarity with immigration court procedures and practices.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting cases before administrative agencies and courts.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced law firm setting.
