We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Material Planner to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of our products from suppliers to customers. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our company's success by effectively managing our inventory, improving our material planning processes, and ensuring our purchase orders (POs) are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to ensure the availability of materials and products, and to meet customer demands.
  2. Manage and maintain purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, establish delivery schedules, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  4. Utilize Microsoft Suite to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  5. Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  6. Work closely with other departments, such as production and sales, to forecast demand and ensure the availability of products.
  7. Adhere to and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all supply chain processes.
  8. Manage and optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  9. Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  4. In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices, including purchase orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  5. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with suppliers.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  8. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  10. Certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field would be considered an asset.
