Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all M&A activities within the energy industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  2. Lead and manage complex transactions involving tax equity, renewable energy, and finance.
  3. Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
  4. Work closely with the business development team to identify, evaluate, and execute potential M&A opportunities.
  5. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests.
  6. Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes in the energy sector.
  9. Provide training and guidance to other team members on legal matters related to M&A and the energy industry.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with debt and tax equity project finance and M&A, managing deals and teams
  • Mid level Attorney with regulatory M&A transactional experience in the renewable energy industry
  • Tax Equity
  • Enjoy the challenge of negotiating and drafting complex transactions;
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand how a project serves clients goals;
  • A commitment to client service and team success;
  • Ability to communicate business goals into contract language; and
  • JD from an accredited university.
  • Good Tenure, no job hoppers

** This person will helping on the project counsel side, experience in buying and selling M&A and regulatory will be helpful. This client represents borrowers. They like people who work in niche industries like: (fishery, alcohol beverage clients, liquor, hospitals).
