Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Environmental Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be working on a variety of projects that are focused on preserving and improving our environment. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the environment through engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities:

As an Environmental Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing and executing environmental engineering projects, including erosion control, wastewater management, grading/earthwork, and roadways.
2. Designing and implementing storm sewer, sanitary sewer, pavement, and water main systems.
3. Utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to create and modify engineering designs and plans.
4. Conducting environmental impact assessments and audits.
5. Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
6. Ensuring all projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
7. Preparing technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
8. Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers.
9. Continuously improving our environmental engineering processes and techniques.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geology, geoscience, chemical, or environmental science.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental engineering.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or eligibility for PE certification preferred.
4. Experience with AutoCAD, and Civil 3D a plus.
5. Familiarity with GIS and other relevant software.
6. Knowledge of erosion control, wastewater management, grading/earthwork, roadways, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, pavement, and water main systems.
7. Excellent project management skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER certification preferred
10. EIT Certification is preferred.
11. PG and/or CHMM certifications are a plus.
12. A strong commitment to environmental sustainability and stewardship.
