The Quality Assurance Coordinator will develop and implement the food safety program and quality protocols, along with investigating food safety and quality issues and developing and implementing corrective actions.

Essential Functions

• Prepare product samples for testing per customer specifications
• Assist the SQF Practitioner to verify SQF certification compliance and to prepare for certification audit, which include registries audit, food security evaluation, SQF training, etc.
• investigating food safety and quality issues and to develop and implement corrective actions.
• Report issues and/or non-conformances to the Operations Management in a concise and timely manner.
• Participate in departmental and cross-functional continuous improvement projects as assigned by the Quality Assurance Management.
• Develop, update, maintain and implementing food safety and quality protocols.
• Report any food safety and quality issue
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• 2 - 4 year of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing or related fields is required.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience on QA / QC testing methods, especially those related to food manufacturing.
• Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages, as well as algebraic calculations.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
