Minimum Position QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant area and five years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, public relations, communications, or a relevant environment. Job DutiesDuties & Responsibilities

Develop, manage and maintain marketing strategy for brand. Create and manage a brand framework and guidelines for University of Memphis. Provide leadership and supervision of creative team, marketing team and agency relationships. Leverage the use of data and analytics to guide strategic marketing plans.

Create and maintain a high-performing team that is encouraged in the institution and with adequate career progression and succession plans. Attend University related events as directed. Develop and manage department budget.

Strategically matches messaging and channel to the various constituents for sustainable positive brand awareness and affinity. Develops and implements innovative, strategic, high-impact marketing initiatives that enhance the University of Memphis brand and support priorities which align with University’s Strategic Plan.

Collaborates with the Senior Vice President, Assistant Vice President and other campus leadership, on the development of large-scale branding campaigns to support marketing, recruitment and advancement. Directs the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that will enhance market position, reputation and visibility as a prominent R1 university.

Provide counsel to members of the university community on marketing and communications initiatives of university-wide importance. Ensures articulation and consistent communication of the university’s desired mission, image and brand-position across all channels/platforms. Analyzes the scope and effectiveness of marketing methods, messages and channels through research and analytics.

Other duties as assigned.
