Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team within our cardiovascular practice with 6 locations and 21 providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine, particularly with cardiology patient experience, and will work closely with our practice providers.Key Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation and Management:Assist in the evaluation and treatment of cardiology patientsTake detailed patient histories, conduct comprehensive physical examinations, and accurately document findings in patient records.Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the providers and other members of the care team. Clinical Duties:Evaluate and manage cardiac patients in the clinic setting, providing ongoing care and adjustments to treatment plans as needed.Prepare patient notes detailing care, including reviewing diagnostic results and formulating treatment plans. Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures:Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care services.Ensure timely and accurate follow-up on test results and integrate findings into patient care plans. Collaboration and Teamwork:Work closely with physicians and other cardiology advanced practice providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.Participate in case discussions, contribute to treatment planning, and support a collaborative team environment.Qualifications: Education and Certification:Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).Active state licensure in Georgia to practice as an NP or PA.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience of in internal medicine, preferably also with cardiovascular patient experience, is highly desirable.Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings is preferred.Skills:Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant medical software.Working Conditions: Environment:The position involves working in both an outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings.May require occasional extended hours or on-call duties based on patient needs and facility requirements. Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Manual dexterity to perform physical exams and procedures.
