We are seeking a motivated
Property Tax Accountant
to join our Indirect tax team.
The Property Tax Accountant is responsible for timely preparation and filing of personal property tax returns.
They are required to research and interpret property tax laws, policies, and procedures in order to comply with state filing requirements. Substantial daily duties will include processing and data entry of tax bills, notices of valuation, and tax return preparation at the local and state level.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and file personal property tax returns at the local and state levelTimely process property tax bills and payments to taxing authoritiesResearch state and local property tax laws in order to legally minimize property tax liabilitiesReview and evaluate assessment notices and property tax bills for accuracyInteract and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.Special projects as assigned
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:Broad knowledge of property tax principles and proceduresWorking knowledge of PTMS or similar property tax software preferredDatabase management skills, problem solving skills, and excellent communication skillsExperience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Etc.) preferredAbility to analyze large amounts of complex dataProficient with Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to apply creative solutions to complex problemsAbility to multitask and think on your feet a must
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/YearBenefits
