A Renewable Energy company seeks a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a brand-new role created to support the company's growth and will be responsible for the revenue reporting across the organization.

This is a brand-new role created to support the company's growth. This role is based out of our New York Headquarters, is a hybrid position (2-3 days in office).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries related to revenue, receivables, and leases.
• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of all revenue-related accounts.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis between actuals and budget, and provide clear explanations for variances.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure all revenue-related items are properly supported and documented.
• Prepare leasing schedules and oversee all aspects of lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes.
• Develop and maintain revenue forecasts and participate in ad hoc financial analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with all revenue recognition requirements under US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Utilize ERP and CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce) for reporting and data analysis.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting (CPA is a plus)
• 4+ years of experience
• Public & Private accounting background
