Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
  • Manage revenue team, revenue reporting, and ensure compliance with ASC 606
  • Assist with weekly cash reporting and other KPI reporting as requested
  • Help Controller with accounting for and reporting on investment activity
  • Oversee revenue-related monthly and quarterly close processes
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly lender reporting
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of internal controls and procedures
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management
  • Assist with coordination and completion of external audit
  • Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, including quarterly tax estimates, business license registrations, and annual reporting requirements
  • Provide support for special projects, M&A, and financial analysis as needed
  • Ability to hire, train, coach and help mentor a growing accounting staff
  • Support the company's accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in the SaaS industry or a strong understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition principles
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other regulatory requirements
  • Experience supporting external audits
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
