Are you a seasoned attorney with a passion for real estate law? Do you have a knack for resolving landlord-tenant disputes? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Landlord-Tenant Associate Attorney to join our thriving legal team. This position will primarily involve representing landlords in all aspects of landlord-tenant disputes. You will be responsible for handling cases from inception through resolution, preparing legal documents, and providing legal advice to clients on landlord-tenant matters. Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal representation to landlords in all aspects of landlord-tenant disputes, including evictions, lease violations, rent disputes, and property damage claims.
  • Handle case files from inception through resolution, including conducting initial client interviews, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including leases, eviction notices, and court pleadings.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of landlord-tenant issues, including lease terms, eviction procedures, fair housing laws, and property maintenance obligations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in landlord-tenant law and inform clients of any changes that may affect their rights or obligations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in landlord-tenant law, with a focus on representing landlords.
  • Proven track record of successfully representing clients in landlord-tenant disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of state and local landlord-tenant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
