We are currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician for a permanent position within our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical to maintaining the high standards of our products and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals and contribute to the company's success by ensuring the highest level of quality in our products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
  2. Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  3. Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  4. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
  5. Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  6. Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  7. Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
  8. Supervise the production process.
  9. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  10. Manage and oversee the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  11. Perform root cause analysis for product/process non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
  12. Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and ensure they are completed and documented correctly.
  13. Maintain and control quality documentation.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality technician role.
  3. Proficient in the use of precision measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  4. Strong knowledge of quality assurance terminologies, methods, and tools.
  5. CMM experience proferred.
  6. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  7. Demonstrable knowledge of testing best practices.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. High attention to detail.
  10. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  11. Experience in rejected material management.
  12. Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
