We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Construction Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed legal team. This position is integral to our firm's success, and we are looking for someone who can navigate the complex world of construction law with finesse and tenacity. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the legalities surrounding construction projects and have a proven track record in dispute resolution and commercial litigation. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-profile litigation and directly contribute to our firm's reputation and success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, construction defects, and delay claims.
  2. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
  3. Provide sound legal advice to clients regarding potential risks and possible outcomes of litigation.
  4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes without proceeding to trial.
  5. Conduct thorough legal research to stay abreast of changes and developments in construction law.
  6. Prepare and present cases at trial when necessary, effectively advocating for our clients' best interests.
  7. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
  8. Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 2 years of experience in construction litigation.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction law, commercial litigation, and dispute resolution techniques.
  4. Proven trial practice experience with a strong ability to argue cases effectively.
  5. Excellent legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice to clients in complex and high-stakes situations.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and other legal professionals.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in the face of legal challenges.
  9. Ability to work independently and manage a large caseload effectively, while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  10. High level of professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the ethical standards of the legal profession.
