We are seeking to hire a Staff Accountant with expertise in financial reporting, cost analysis, and accounts management to support our growing operations. Title: Staff Accountant (Contract-To-Hire)

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Hourly Pay: $30 - $35

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analysis.
• Perform job costing analysis and collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets and costs.
• Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and job costing principles.
