Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Process Engineer with a strong background in semiconductor wafers for making optoelectronic devices. This position resides in our cutting-edge R&D department, where you will play a vital role in driving the success of our semiconductor manufacturing and nanofabrication processes. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a flair for problem-solving, a strong understanding of process engineering, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology.

Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and optimizing processes for semiconductor wafer production, specifically focusing on InP, GaAs, and GaSb.
  2. Utilizing your expertise in dry etching, plasma deposition, metal deposition, and nanofabrication to enhance our manufacturing processes.
  3. Performing SEM analysis to ensure the quality and integrity of our products.
  4. Implementing and managing Statistical Process Control (SPC) to maintain process stability and improve yield.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve complex process issues.
  6. Developing and implementing sensor technologies to improve process control and yield.
  7. Creating and maintaining process documentation, including specifications, work instructions, and training materials.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within the semiconductor industry, specifically with InP, GaAs, and GaSb.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in dry etching, plasma deposition, metal deposition, and nanofabrication.
  4. Proficiency in SEM analysis.
  5. A solid understanding of SPC and its application in process control.
  6. Experience in sensor technology and its application in semiconductor manufacturing.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex process issues.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  9. A proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
  10. A strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
