Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

This person would handle the entire lifecycle of projects including design, implementation, documentation and training. This role plays an integral part in a dynamic fast paced legal environment where quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction are a top priority.

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Permanent Systems Engineer to join our team in the Legal industry. This is an opportunity to work in a high-tech environment where your skills will be put to the test. You will be a part of a team that is responsible for maintaining and improving our IT systems and networks. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2019, Veeam Backup, Active Directory and GPOs, VMware ESX, ESXi 6.7/7/8, and more with a commitment to staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and manage systems and networks using Microsoft Exchange 2019, Veeam Backup, Active Directory and GPOs, VMware ESX, ESXi 6.7/7/8.
  2. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and also work independently.
  3. Perform regular system and network maintenance, including updates and upgrades.
  4. Develop and implement strategies for system and network security.
  5. Collaborate with the IT team and other departments to optimize system and network performance.
  6. Prepare and maintain documentation for system and network configurations, procedures, and changes.
  7. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  8. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  9. Monitor system and network performance and capacity to identify and prevent issues.
  10. Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in systems engineering.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of professional IT experience. 4-5 years of professional experience with Microsoft Exchange 2016, or 2019 environments
  3. Proven experience with Microsoft Exchange 2019, Veeam Backup, Active Directory and GPOs, VMware ESX, ESXi 6.7/7/8.
  4. Knowledge of - DESKTOP: Microsoft Windows 10,11, Microsoft Office 2019/365. Enterprise Applications: Microsoft Exchange Server 2016, 2019, 2022, Microsoft SQL Server, Web filtering, Endpoint detection and response (EDR), VMWare SRM
  5. Knowledge of networking concepts such as routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, subnets, etc.
  6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system and network issues.
  8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or other relevant technologies will be an added advantage.
  10. Knowledge of the legal industry is a plus but not required.
