Job Details

We are seeking an innovative Food Scientist to join our dynamic team. This position is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual with a deep understanding of food safety and a strong background in food science or engineering. The successful candidate will be involved in the development, implementation, and optimization of food safety practices, product development, and process improvements.

As a Senior Food Scientist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Leading and participating in the development and improvement of new and existing food products.
  2. Overseeing the implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  3. Conducting research and experiments to improve the taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf life of food products.
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, marketing, and sales to bring new products to market.
  5. Identifying and troubleshooting issues related to food safety, quality, and processing.
  6. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in food science and technology and implementing innovative solutions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
  7. Providing technical expertise and support to the manufacturing team.
  8. Developing and delivering training programs on food safety and quality to employees.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PhD will be considered an advantage.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in food science or a related field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  3. Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance.
  4. Strong knowledge of food processing techniques and equipment.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Proficiency in using various software and technology for data analysis and reporting.
  9. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to food safety.
  10. A passion for food science and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
