Job DetailsWe are seeking an innovative Food Scientist to join our dynamic team. This position is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual with a deep understanding of food safety and a strong background in food science or engineering. The successful candidate will be involved in the development, implementation, and optimization of food safety practices, product development, and process improvements.
As a Senior Food Scientist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and participating in the development and improvement of new and existing food products.
- Overseeing the implementation of food safety and quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conducting research and experiments to improve the taste, texture, nutritional value, and shelf life of food products.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, marketing, and sales to bring new products to market.
- Identifying and troubleshooting issues related to food safety, quality, and processing.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in food science and technology and implementing innovative solutions to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Providing technical expertise and support to the manufacturing team.
- Developing and delivering training programs on food safety and quality to employees.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PhD will be considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in food science or a related field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of food processing techniques and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using various software and technology for data analysis and reporting.
- A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to food safety.
- A passion for food science and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
