We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's tax planning and compliance with a focus on maximizing efficiency and minimizing our tax liability. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with state, federal and international tax laws and regulations.
- Conduct detailed tax research and planning to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
- Perform quarterly and annual tax reconciliations, and prepare accurate tax reports for senior management.
- Review financial statements to ascertain the accuracy of the reported tax expenses, assets, liabilities, and credits.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, liaising with auditors to ensure efficient completion of audits.
- Provide internal teams with guidance on tax implications of business decisions, ensuring all actions taken comply with tax laws.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure all tax strategies are in alignment with these changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax compliance and planning.
- Proficient in tax research with a solid understanding of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Active CPA license is required.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, audit processes, and tax reconciliations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply them to company operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong attention to detail.
