Are you a seasoned Legal Secretary with a passion for Trust and Estate law? Do you have a knack for estate planning, real estate, and wealth management? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Our firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced Legal Secretary to join our Trust and Estate department. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work closely with our team of legal professionals, providing comprehensive support on a wide range of trust and estate matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal Secretary in our Trust and Estate department, your duties will include:

  1. Providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys specializing in trust and estate law.
  2. Drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence related to estate planning, real estate, and wealth management.
  3. Managing complex calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
  4. Transcribing dictations and ensuring accurate time entry for all legal matters.
  5. Handling client communication and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  6. Preparing and filing legal documents with the court system.
  7. Assisting in the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  8. Coordinating and managing real estate transactions and private client matters.
  9. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in the Trust and Estate sector.
  2. Extensive knowledge of estate planning, real estate, and wealth planning.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  4. Experience in transcription and accurate time entry.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex calendars.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. A high level of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  8. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  9. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
