Our top-tier healthcare facility is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Physician Assistant Surgical Nocturnist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on patient lives and contribute to the forefront of medical innovation. As a Surgical Nocturnist, you will work primarily during night shifts, providing critical care to post-surgical patients and managing any emergent issues that arise. This role requires a high level of responsibility and autonomy, and will offer the successful candidate the chance to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a post-surgical setting, managing a variety of complex cases and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage the implementation of these plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to any emergent issues, utilizing your clinical judgement and decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and wellbeing.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in your field and continually striving to improve your clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant, with a focus on surgical nocturnist or critical care preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Strong commitment to patient care, with a passion for providing high-quality, individualized care to each patient.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Ability to work night shifts, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- Must have a strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and health care administration ethics.
