We are currently seeking a highly skilled Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our high-tech machinery, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production lines. This role is crucial to our business's success, as it ensures the continuity of our manufacturing processes and the quality of our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC Programming, mechanical systems, electrical systems, machine operation, precision measurement, and power tools, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Monday through Friday 4a to 2p - NO REQUIRED WEEKENDS

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to, mechanical and electrical repairs.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment failures and diagnose issues with PLCs and other automated systems.
  3. Operate a variety of machines and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance.
  4. Use precision measurement tools to ensure machinery is functioning with optimal efficiency and safety.
  5. Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to improve operational efficiency.
  6. Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replacement parts.
  7. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  8. Collaborate with the production team to understand and resolve machinery issues, improve productivity, and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Manufacturing industry.
  2. Proficient in PLC Programming and able to troubleshoot and repair complex automated systems.
  3. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently.
  4. Experience operating various machines and power tools.
  5. Proficient in using precision measurement tools to ensure machinery is functioning optimally.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the team and documentation of procedures and repairs.
  8. Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy machinery parts and work in a variety of environments.
  9. A degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent vocational training in mechanical or electrical repairs is preferred.
