Are you passionate about fire safety and protection? Do you have a knack for design and engineering? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be involved in the design and planning of fire sprinkler systems for a variety of projects in the engineering industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Designing and creating detailed plans for fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, and SprinkCAD.
- Performing hydraulic calculations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of fire sprinkler systems.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
- Reviewing and updating existing fire sprinkler design drawings to meet current safety standards and regulations.
- Providing technical support and guidance to installation teams during the implementation of fire sprinkler systems.
- Participating in project meetings and providing updates on design progress and challenges.
- Continuously staying updated with the latest fire safety regulations, design techniques, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Fire Sprinkler Designer position should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design within the engineering industry.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, and SprinkCAD.
- Knowledge and experience with NICET standards and hydraulic calculations.
- A strong understanding of fire safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
- A degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
