Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior role within our finance department, where you will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy and decision-making processes. The Controller will play an essential role in maintaining the financial health of our organization, providing critical oversight of all financial activities, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. This position requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, a robust understanding of financial trends, and a passion for financial analysis and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
  2. Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  3. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  4. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  5. Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with approved external auditor.
  6. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
  7. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  8. Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
  9. Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
  10. Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  11. Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  4. Adept at planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  5. Proficiency in the use of computer programs for accounting, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management.
  7. Impeccable understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  8. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
  9. Proficient in using financial software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  10. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  11. Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
  12. High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  13. Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
