We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic legal team. In this crucial role, you will leverage your nursing expertise to provide invaluable support in various legal matters, including medical malpractice, personal injury, and product liability cases. Your keen eye for detail and ability to interpret complex medical information will be instrumental in assisting attorneys in understanding the medical aspects of their cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret medical records, identifying key issues and potential areas of liability.
  • Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies and summaries to support legal proceedings.
  • Assist in the development of case strategies by providing medical insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to identify and retain expert witnesses, as needed.
  • Participate in client interviews and depositions, offering medical expertise and guidance.
  • Stay current with medical advancements, standards of care, and relevant legal issues.
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and presentations for legal staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a relevant specialty area.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex medical information and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Legal Nurse Consulting (CLNC) or related field.
  • Experience working in a legal setting or collaborating with attorneys.
  • Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Advanced degree in nursing or a related healthcare field.
