Business Intelligence Engineer - PCO at Centerwell in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The Business Intelligence Engineer describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications + At least 2 years developing and troubleshooting SQL queries (scripts, stored procedures, joins, CTEs, etc.) + Minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, quality, or related field + Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint + Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root cause analysis + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving data processes Preferred Qualifications + Data visualization experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other application + Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field + Experience with Medicare contracts and healthcare financial data + Cloud solutions experience (Snowflake, Azure, etc.) + In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, graphs, etc. + Experience with data mining and data visualization + Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions Additional Information Alert: Humana values personal identity protection.
