A Bay City area logistics company is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team! This is a temp-hire opportunity after a reliable attendance record has been demonstrated. Previous forklift /PIT experience is required as well as a safety-conscious mindset. This is a 1st shift position with hours from 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as needed depending on the schedule. Ability to lift up to 75lbs on occasion is needed. Must have a valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
Operate powered industrial trucks (forklift/ forktruck) and order pickers to move, lift, stack, or transport products, equipment, and materials.May have to lift and stack products up to 50-75Lbs by hand to rebuild pallets as needed.Use a handheld scanner with high accuracy.Load and unload trailers as required.Follow the 6S program and ensure a clean work environment at all times.Demonstrate an understanding of supply chain quality standards.Perform inbound receiving duties.Skills:
Lift 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally more than 75 lbs. of varying shapes, sizes, and weights.Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.Qualifications:
At least 1 year of warehouse experience.Certification and training in the safe use of powered industrial trucks (forklifts/ forktrucks).Must have a valid Driver's License.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential overtime.A High School Diploma or GED.The ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
