Together we can continue to serve and impact our local community, through the commitment to “Do The Most Good” at our Gilroy Thrift Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This is an opportunity to promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem-solving and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OFFERED:Opportunity for career growthPaid time offEmployee DiscountsAs our enthusiastic and hardworking SALES LEAD, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management, and donations.Assumes responsibility for all day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager.Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability.In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedules Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center.Ensures high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction through excellent service.Supports Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates meet daily processing goals.Responsible for supervision and support of program Beneficiaries during Work Therapy Assignments.Responsible for the protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property.Ensures building is secured during non-operating hours.Assures that safety measures are established and maintained.May transfer or be relocated to other stores based on business needs.Completes all tasks as assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.POSITION OBJECTIVES:Provide customers with the best selection, exceptional service and well-organized stores.Accountable for meeting store sales and income budget expectations while managing expenses.Create a positive environment for Beneficiaries through collaboration with program staff.Implement positive and effective Work Therapy Assignments.Qualifications to be considered for this position:Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience; Supervisory experience preferred.Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.Physical Demands:Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.Ability to lift up to 50lbs.CORE COMPETENCIES:Problem SolvingOral CommunicationWritten CommunicationTeamworkSchedule:Our stores operate 7 days per week.
