WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a
Van Helper,
you will assist the delivery driver with delivering materials to job sites via pickup truck and/or box van. While not on the road, you will assist with pulling material for future deliveries, building loads, loading, and unloading of materials, and maintaining good housekeeping and security.
THE NITTY GRITTY Assist driver with unloading materials and staging the job site in the most convenient fashion for the customer. Pre-pulling and loading orders accurately and efficiently. Ensures the product is handled and stored in a clean, neat, and organized manner. Executes core tasks to improve the customer's experience. Follows processes to confirm that all product is being delivered and follows protocol when an item is missing or refused. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU NEED
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to obtain a Chauffeur's license, if requested. Familiarity with a variety of building products and/or building material industry experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and complete basic math. Able to successfully work in a team environment and be a self-starter. Interpersonal Skills:
A strong steward of Mans culture and core values Customer and company first mind-set Strong sense of ambition, self-motivation, and self-discipline Highly developed interpersonal and communication skill WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and bar code scanners.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Capable of physically demanding work. The ability to carry up to 50lbs. of material 40 yards and/or up or down a flight of stairs.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Some Saturday work will also be required during peak season (May - October).
