Job Description

HilltopHoldings is looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. This role is responsible for providing consultative business partnership to senior leaders and managers of specific business functions or regions (multi location) to develop and execute on people planning and strategies. This role helps to foster and drive organizational effectiveness, talent retention, and culture. This position is also responsible for developing, influencing, training, and executing on strategic HR initiatives, confidently guiding and advising leaders, and partnering closely with the various HR Centers of Excellence (COE). This position will be assigned to support several corporate functions as well as some banking functions and will report to the CHRO.

Responsibilities

Develops and executes on HR strategy, partnership, processes, procedures, initiatives and best practices.Provides consultative HR business support to assigned senior business leaders and managers leveraging various HR Centers of Excellence when needed.Builds relationships with senior leaders and managers and serves as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor on HR matters.Coaches' business leaders and associates to support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and change management in a productive manner through dialogue, data and influence.Execute on enterprise talent management initiatives including Goals Setting, Performance Reviews, Succession Planning, Talent Reviews, and other initiatives.Partner with leaders to develop talent strategies for their respective teams & top talentFacilitate a talent review process focused on performance and potential to identify top talent, talent gaps, critical roles, and individual development plans.Coaches and counsels managers and employees through employee relations matters up to and including terminations.Supports growth and career development for employees, in partnership with leaders and Learning and Development COE, to identify gaps and deliver solutions; provides coaching to leaders on techniques and strategies to develop their direct reports.In partnership with business leaders & managers, develop comprehensive onboarding plans to ensure new employees and leaders are assimilating into their role as well as into the company.Interprets, communicates, and executes policy and documentation requirements to ensure business and local compliance.Utilizes HR reporting and dashboard to analyze metrics identify strategies to ensure continuous improvement within their business function/region.Leads ad hoc projects while serving as a conduit between local and/or functional areas and corporate COEs.Serve as a team player, identifying ways to drive consistency across the enterprise while also ensuring there is a balance with local business needs and/or compliance requirements.Additional duties assigned.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline OR combination of equivalent relevant work experience required and high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.10 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably in financial services and/or banking.Preferred HR Certification such as SHRM or PHR.In depth knowledge of organizational design, talent management, employee relations, succession planning and HR strategy.Experience working in a shared services environment, leveraging HR COE partners.Autonomous leader with ability to own senior business relationships and manage through ambiguity and change.Strong communicator with ability to appropriately challenge stakeholders to positively impact decisions and solutions.Possesses a thorough knowledge of HR standards, principals, and best practices.Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization, including Executive and C-Suite.Knowledgeable of Federal and State employment laws and demonstrated ability to apply knowledge across the organization.Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail, high level of accountability, and the ability to work independently.
