Job Title: Director of Human ResourcesJob Pay Range: $105,000-140,000, plus eligible for annual bonus programJob Summary:The Broadmoor is committed to creating a culture of family and community while simultaneously providing a genuine, unforgettable experience for our guests and team. This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests.The position of Director of Human Resources will oversee execution of HR strategy designed to develop and enhance the employment experience at The BROADMOOR through exemplary support and guidance to employees from hire to retire. As part of the senior leadership team in Human Resources, oversee the day-to-day operation of Human Resources office including direct management, development and success of HR team members across the primary functions of Employee Relations, Communications, Culture & Engagement and Compliance.Work on a team of dedicated professionals focused on creating an employment experience that allows all team members to be at their best and feel their career goals are within reach. Our employees represent The Broadmoor brand and are Ambassadors of our Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Standards.What you will be doing:Oversee all company efforts related to team member engagement and satisfaction, including events, recognition and feedback platforms such as engagement interviews, polls, pulse surveys, in-person forums, etc.Lead HR and Operations Managers through all day-to-day functions related to the review of employee performance concerns and lead progressive disciplinary procedures as applicable, including involuntary termination procedures when appropriate.Coordinate and conduct employee investigations and assign to other HR team members as appropriate.Review all employee disciplinary issues and support team of Human Resources Generalists in managing day-to-day partnership with operational leaders.Facilitate Safety Committee for the resort, providing proactive safety behaviors and tracking improvement of performance and proactively opportunities for improvement initiatives.Ensure OSHA compliance & training is consistent throughout the resort.In partnership with Loss Prevention department, facilitate and enhance workplace incident procedures, including the completion of First Report of Injury, accident investigation, communication and partnership with work comp insurance carrier, etc.Supervise case management and follow-up meetings on each accident and worker’s compensation case.Regularly manage and report accidents on OSHA log. Complete OSHA log 300 on a yearly basis.Organize and conduct quarterly Workers Compensation open case reviews with carriers, attorneys, and other appropriate parties.Responsible for all employment compliance including adherence to local/state/federal laws and regulation.Oversee the set up and maintenance of all personnel records, including employee files, accident files, etc.Assist Vice President of Human Resources as a regular contact for employment law partners and attorneys as applicable, both in response to investigations or claims as well as proactive design of workplace policies and standards in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.Oversee the Human Resources Communications function to ensure valuable and proactive communications programs and practices designed to ensure all team members are in the know and have the tools to be successful.Direct management of HR Manager, Generalist, Specialist and Coordinator positions.Review and process unemployment claims. Assist with and/or lead unemployment hearings as needed.Assist with creation and facilitation of leadership training related to managing performance and building relationships with employees.Oversee the administration of the exit process, including exit surveys and feedback, and implement adequate communication and follow-up actions as applicable.Responsible for overall office management, including adherence to expense budgets, hours of operation and overall mentorship for all HR employees.What we are looking for:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR leadership role, leading employee relations and similar functions. Prior experience with compliance and knowledge of local/state/federal employment laws and regulation required.Prior HR leadership experience within a full-service hotel/resort environment required. Prior operations experience in Hospitality helpful.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) as well as other web-based platforms required. Successful administration of cloud based HCM software needed; prior experience with Dayforce helpful.Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
