Data Governance Specialist
Project Overview:
This contract position will participate in a variety of data and analytics projects with an initial focus on data governance audits.
Data Governance Audit initiative addresses:
Use of the Collibra Enterprise Cloud (CEC) tool will help support and sustain better data governance and metadata management processes. WM is required to build out the WM Data Catalog and show progress toward the adoption of the tool.
Global Privacy Audit initiative addresses:
Anyactive application - that has PII data - is to have a control in place to delete or anonymize PII data that is past retention according to the Retention Schedule. Applications can only hold onto records if they were placed on a Legal Hold. Partners need to evidence that the control is working effectively.
Additional data and analytics projects focusing on business growth initiatives as aligned to the candidates data management skills and experience
Contractors Role:
For the audits, this role will consult on the identification and definition of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), will engage with business stewards and IT data custodians to collect metadata and data lineage to be loaded into Collibra, and will partner with the Wealth Management Data Quality Control team to monitor CDE data quality. For other data and analytics projects, this role will participate in activities related to defining data requirements, hands on data analysis, data science, and data visualization. Projects will be aligned to the candidate based on their data management skills and experience.
Qualifications (Must Haves):Experience across a broad spectrum of data governance, data quality, and data analytics projects is a must have.Experience with Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, and Reference and Data Domain ManagementExperience with Collibra or other comparable metadata catalogs (e.g.: Informatica, Infosphere IGC, Talend, Alation)Experience setting and resolving Naming Conventions, Taxonomies, and OntologiesNice to Haves: Prior experience related to:
Creating data quality rules in Collibra OwlDQ or Oracle EDQProjects dealing with Information Security, Data Privacy, Document Retention, Individual RightsExperience as a product owner on Agile data productsData Analytics & Data Presentation (PowerBI experience is highly desired)Data analysis with SQL, Python, R, etcBusiness analysis experience on data projectsData Modeling
