Purpose:
This entry level, full-time, hourly position exist to assist in the collection of data for a wide variety of projects throughout the business. This will be accomplished by using direct observations, lean tools, and best practices.
Essential Functions:Collect data for value-stream mapping, time studies, 6S, and Industrial designs.Enter and analyze data to support the Continuous Improvement team while providing suggestions on direction.Assist with Kaizen events and projects to support our customer.Embrace continuous improvement initiatives through: process, quality, and cost reduction analyses.Work with CI Facilitators in a team environment to ensure success of each project, task, or event.Experience/ Knowledge:
Requires high school diploma, GED or equivalent experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office software.Preferred 1 year of experience with LEAN practices and projects utilizing the following LEAN tools6S8 WastesProblem SolvingPreferred background in an RV manufacturing or assembly environment is a plus.Preferred experience with operating AutoCAD, Inventor, Sketch Up or similar software.Skills & Abilities:
Problem solver with a positive mindset and the ability to listen to instruction.Positive verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required.Positive decision and judgement making skills.Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Ability to collaborate effectively in interactions with all organizational departments.Work Requirements:
This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 25% of the day, and collecting data from a production environment approximately 75% of the day.Requires ability to travel between field locations.Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).Regular attendance is required.Remote work: not available.Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Jayco offers a generous benefits package including:
