We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sustainability to join our team and drive our sustainability efforts as we scale. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing a comprehensive framework for sustainability initiatives, creating a strategy aligned with the company's vision and principles, and leading and developing a team to execute these initiatives. As the Vice President, Sustainability, this role will report to our Chief Operating Officer.Qualifications
What you'll get to do:Create a sustainability strategy aligned with the company's vision and principles, ensuring that sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the business.Develop a comprehensive framework for sustainability initiatives, including setting goals and targets, defining key performance indicators, and establishing a roadmap for implementation.Create structure reporting mechanisms to monitor and track progress against sustainability goals and objectives.Lead and develop a team of sustainability professionals, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.Manage sustainability projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure buy-in and support for sustainability initiatives.Build relationships with external partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry associations, to leverage resources and expertise in support of sustainability goals.Monitor and report on progress against sustainability goals, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and best practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.Stay ahead of future policy and regulatory impacts related to sustainability, ensuring that the company is well-positioned to respond to changing requirements.Build and lead a high-performance team, providing coaching and development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence.Who you are:Minimum 15+ years of experience in sustainability or related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives.Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve common goals.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of current sustainability trends and best practices, with the ability to anticipate and respond to future challenges and opportunities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. sustainability, environmental science, business administration) required; Master's degree preferred.Additional Information
