Position Summary
Reports to the Senior Clinical Director and Executive Director. Responsible for daily monitoring and supervision of clinical staff. Serves as a member of the leadership team, participates in director's meetings, and participates in marketing and business development, including presentations, networking luncheons and the development of professional referent relationships.
Essential Functions and Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Manages behavioral health services
Oversees clinical compliance issues.
Establishes and maintains a code of ethical conduct for staff members, interns, and volunteers and consequences for violating such code
Orients and directs training of staff members upon hire and to maintain credentials
Ensures that a staff member receives sufficient direction to perform their job duties
Supervises client referrals for additional services.
Is available, if needed, to provide assessment to new clients, make clinical recommendations, and provide individual and group behavioral health services as needed
Meet the required Continuing Education hours to maintain licensure
The expectation is availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional hours are required to complete assigned duties. Occasional evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
Qualifications for the position:
Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other Behavioral Health/Human Services Field, and meets the qualifications of a Behavioral Health Professional as defined by the State of Arizona
Five or more years of full-time direct work experience providing clinical supervision
Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
Must be knowledgeable of the following: Family of Origin issues, Domestic Violence issues, Alcohol/Drug Abuse issues, co-occurring disorders, PTSD and trauma, and other areas related to substance use disorder and co-occurring disorder treatment
Must be able to motivate and work with a diverse clinical team. Must have an interest in progressive and collaborative approaches to behavioral health treatment.
Must be familiar with and have knowledge of non-violent crisis intervention techniques
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct or indirect supervision of staff who work directly with clients (e.g., clinical staff, BHTs)
Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations
Must have or be eligible for a Behavioral Health Professional Licensed by State of Arizona. LCSW or LPC is strongly preferred.
