$25.84-32.30If you enjoy our products, you'll really enjoy being a part of our team!Position Summary:The Payroll Specialist supports the company's payroll processes. This position ensures pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Manage the payroll processing of multiple weekly and bi-weekly payroll groups inclusive of Collective Bargaining Agreements ContractsEnsure the payroll is in full compliance with federal and state lawsEnsure employee payroll is processed accurately and timelyReview weekly payroll reports for accuracyCollaborate with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) as necessary to ensure complete compliance in setting up payroll in various systemsMaintain payroll system updates and ensure accuracyAnalyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actionsAssist in payroll accounting, transactions, reporting, stop payments, and other operationsOversee salary changes, compensations, deductions, bonus, and vacation/Paid Time Off (PTO) payoutsProcess final checks for voluntary and involuntary separations from the companyProvide training and mentoring to team membersFacilitate training at the local level as neededAssist in payroll and timesheet audit processAssist employees with payroll issuesReview payroll issues and discrepancies and process necessary correctionsEnsure compliance with the regulatory standards, policies, and procedures of payrollProvide technical expertise and respond to payroll inquiries related to interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations as well as Collective Bargaining Agreement ContractsImplement processes to streamline payroll functionOther projects or duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:HS Diploma/GED with 0 to 1 plus years of payroll experienceExperience with federal, local, and state payroll lawsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skillsDetail-oriented mindsetStrong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasksAbility to maintain highly confidential informationAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office suite, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.This position must pass a post-offer background and drug testPreferred Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or AccountingExperience with UKG or Kronos Timekeeping SystemExperience working in a union environment
