Job Details:

We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Permanent Controller to join our manufacturing team. This role will be a key player in managing and improving our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting and management principles, excellent numerical proficiency, and strong analytical skills. The goal is to provide excellent assistance to our financial team and enhance our financial decision-making process, contributing to the company's overall success.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.
11. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
12. Approve reconciliations and journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
13. Oversee the company's inventory management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
14. Conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to regulations and legislation.

Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with creating financial statements.
5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
10. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
11. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
12. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
13. Excellent communication and people skills.
14. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
15. CPA or related certification is a strong advantage.
